She Likes To Hear Herself Talk

 Bar study is going better than I thought; it's not interesting or anything, but I'm getting the job done and basically on the schedule I made up last week. Yesterday Becca and I took a walk around the neighborhood and I tested out the iPod plan, listening to myself talk about criminal law and wills while the baby checked out the trees and then fell asleep. It's a little odd to be learning from...myself, but it made me glad I had to watch myself debate on video years ago because I've come to terms with the sound of my own voice and my various habits.

I hung out with a bunch of friends this week - BOY do people like to whine about the BAR/BRI lectures! Someone said to me "You're so lucky to be studying on your own," and I wasn't sure what to do with that since, you know, no one MAKES you take the class and I'm not being a hero here, I'm mostly doing this so I don't have to put my baby in daycare while I watch professors sing about joinder via DVD.

Tomorrow we embark on Becca's first long car ride, to NYC to see the other half of her extended family, and supposedly I'm getting Torts done this weekend, too. Plus, So You Think You Can Dance is back and the spelling bee finals are tonight! I know, I live an exciting life. So far, the summer's looking good.
