Bah humbug. I hate christmas.

(This is not a cheerful, have a great day everyone post. In case you couldn't tell. You have been warned.)

My brother is an asshole. He doesn't listen to anyone, and he talks too much, and he refuses to believe he could possibly learn anything from anyone. Which is rich, since he just spent a weekend in jail and his finances are in shambles because he spends all of his money on booze (which is what landed him in jail in the first place).

I'm sure you can imagine how lovely brunch with him was this morning. Tensions are a bit high in my family right now.

Since my dad died, our family's christmases are just... unorganized. Everything feels haphazard. I hate that this happened to my family - that this is the reality of my family now and this is how our holidays are going to look.

Next year, I'm going to suggest we go on vacation and spend christmas day on a beach. Preferably with a cold and very boozy drink in hand.

At least our house guests have moved on to someone else's home so I don't have to deal with their whining and blocking me in the driveway and using all the hot water and drinking all the coffee and eating all the lox anymore.

Bah. Freaking. Humbug.
