Time Goes by Way too quickly

Hey,

Time is flying! We've already smashed through a month or more of school. I thought I would start up a blog for a couple of reasons. It would be a good way of keeping a journal about my experiences in law school. I thought it would also be a good way of getting my name out in the world. Nobody may ever read this thing but we'll see.

I know in law school that no one has much time for anything other than the law. Well I was going insane because of all the Law related reading I was doing and I needed a break from it. I picked up a book while waiting to pick up my wife from the airport. Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an All-Night Runner. Crazy!!!!! This guy, Dean Karnazes, makes my whining about no sleep look pathetic. He used to work a normal work week and then run throughout the night. It was his way of getting things done that he neeeded to do, and spend time with his family. 4-5 hours of sleep is all he needs!!!!!

Well I don't think I'll be subscribing to that train of thought but there were some practical things that I got out of the book. First, Determination to accomplish what you've set out to do comes from within. Karnazes on his first try at a sadistic 100 mile non-stop run, not only finished it but did it in 21hours. Second, Anything worthwile is going to be difficult and hurt. Mr. Karnazes is now sponsored and so running pays for his living. Law schools is hard. It's no fun having a professor ask you questions in front of 100 people. But It makes you grasp the materials and work with them. I hope that my musings will help others.
