I'll blog under "Belle Lettre" for as long as I can, but I think I'd rather stop bloggging completely than archive this blog and join/start another under my own name. Unless I resign myself to being a dry academic blogger, and never have another public neurosis (hah, right) or interesting story. Blogging under my own name, except on a guest-basis, just doesn't seem fun enough to me. And I will never blog under my own name the way I do here. So why would I? So, maybe I'll just reemerge under a different pseudonym.

I've been thinking about this more and more, in particular because I predict that this blog will automatically shut down in June, 2010, and then "Belle Lettre" will disappear into the aether. I could be wrong. It's two years away, and I could just as easily change my mind, again. And I could pull a Streisand and retire multiple times.

Still, I'm already constrained by thoughts of the following, but I would hate to be totally bound by it:
