You really like me!

Or at least you really like my hair. If you are white.

It has been an eventful week. I was in New Orleans with Erika from Sunday to Wednesday. We ate and drank entirely too much, and had quite a good time. It is ungodly hot in New Orleans in June though.

Lunch at Luke - absolutely delicious meal. I had a BLT with crab, Erika had an onion and bacon tart with emmentaler, and we each had some frisee salad and some tomato salad. All of it was phenomenal.

Sadly, we did not see John Besh.

We did see Tom from the New Orleans School of Cooking though. He taught me to make gumbo. Which i was going to make last night except we had an insane storm!

My hail pile.
Not my tree.

When the power is out, go drink some beer!

The lights came back on about 10:30 at our house. Still many people without power, and a ton of damage all over the city. We may have some family staying with us this week - a tree fell on my cousin's porch and there is a giant hole in their bedroom. No good.

I made an executive decision to skip the rest of BarBri. The last few days have been miserably boring and mostly consist of the state lecturers reading the outlines we already have. I can read outlines on my own, thanks.
