Smart Steps for Sanitizing

ADVERTISEMENTS

I've always said "Money isn't everything; as long as you have your health, that's what counts."

And what with this "Swine Flu", to those knuckleheads that are saying "use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer..", trust me when I say that they don't know what they're talking about.

If anyone knows about proper hygiene, its me. OK, so I'm OCD, but I'm healthy!

And, I'm telling you that alcohol-based sanitizers destroy protective skin cells, they cause dry/irritated skin, they don't work when your hands are dirty, and they have zero persistency. They evaporate within seconds after applying, and once they dry, they have no effectiveness.

Which is exactly why I've always used an alcohol-FREE hand sanitizer. Do you think I'd shake someone's hand without using this stuff afterward?? Of course not! Especially when you think about some of the hands that I've had to shake! Oy!

The same people that researched our trading systems researched hand sanitizers, and everyone determined that the products we evaluated are just as effective against things like swine flu, salmonella, staph, MRSA, and the rest--and they last longer, they don't cause the skin to dry, they're non-flammable and non-toxic.

Sure, Ezra might have liked to mix some of that Purell with club soda after he saw the statements. And sure, some people like to use that stuff to make little fire bombs--but why the hell would anyone put that stuff on to their skin?? You know what it does to the rings that your wife is wearing?? Or what happens when it drips on those fancy carpets?? Don't ask!

So I'm telling you--wash with soap and water; 30 seconds of scrubbing.

And if you can't find a place to wash your hands, and you're determined to use a hand sanitizer--use the type that doesn't have alcohol. This one's my favorite.

Enough said.
