The hoopla about Goldman is actually great for us; its distracting everyone, including the folks over at CFTC from worrying about the pending approval to trade futures contracts on box office receipts.

Before CF can help you close the Miramax acquisition, our compliance people have expressed some concerns re: possible conflict issues that might come up later.

I'm not that worried, but we'll be operating a regulated marketplace, and we don't need any red flags raised. The background of one of your key executives--the guy responsible for intl. distribution, could cause some big headaches for everyone later.

This is just one of the judgments we found against the fellow in question re:defrauding investors in connection with film deals. There isn't a Chinese Wall high enough that would make anyone comfortable when your firm becomes a primary market-maker. And, unlike GS, we're not planning on hiring any former White House lawyers to our team just yet.
