I'm not sure where we get the firewood from, the maid takes care of that--but, I think we get it from the same place that Matt Lauer gets his firewood from...(Sure, he lives in my building, and so plenty of other big shots! And since I'm the Chairman of the Co-Op, you can bet that the building's treasury was being managed by my firm too!)br /br /Anyway, I've got a great fire roaring right now--and for those idiot news guys sitting outside in the 20 degree temp, I've got one big Bronx Cheer for you...hahahahhaha!br /br /Now that I'm warm and toasty, let me say something about the BS news reports, the one where I allegedly told the FBI agent that I was running a big ponzi scheme. He forgot to mention in his affidavit what I said was, I've run my business just like the Social Security system. We take money from one investor and use that money to pay redemptions. Its real simple.br /br /And when my case goes to trial, my lawyer Ira is going explain that what I've been doing for years is actually legal. Another thing, I never stole a red cent from anyone. Its not like I embezzled any funds; span style="font-style: italic;"that/span would be stealing. Every dime used to pay for the houses, the cars, the boats, the jewelry--all of that was from earned income, and I filed tax returns properly.br /br /Ruth's in the next room, and she's got copies of all of that stuff.. When she's done with her pedicure, I'll upload it to the blog.Full post as published by Bernard Madoff on December 22, 2008 (boomark / email).
