: Freedom to DifferMore on those pointless Twitter Color Wars
Mashable has an update on the useless Twitter Color Wars:
In what may turn out to be the shortest-lived web fad since the Star Wars Kid, the tech elite are going all a-Twitter over Color Wars 2008. The protocol: follow your favorite ?color team? on Twitter (or noteam at all) and prepare for that peculiar variety of ?war? that mainly involves sitting at a computer eating Fritos.
Terrified to let a single bandwagon pass us by, we hopped aboard and asked for your help in choosing a team to endorse. I?m proud to say that we?ve been drawn, sheep-like, into the clutches of the monstrously large verygreenteam, whose 900+ members lobbied harder than any other to win our endorsement.
The first challenge for Color Wars contestants: take a photo of yourself, by midnight EST Monday, throwing either ?rock?, ?paper? or ?scissors?. Full instructions have been posted to teh Color Wars Intarwebs site.
Continued updates on this developing and ultimately pointless story can be found on Mashable?s Twitter page.
