Iverson to the Pistons

By Ed Brayton

A break from politics for a sports report. ESPN is reporting that the Pistons are on the verge of trading Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess to Denver for Allen Iverson. I'm not sure this is a good trade for Detroit. Clearly the Pistons think that Rodney Stuckey is ready to take Billups' minutes and they're probably right about that. But it leaves the Pistons without a true point guard. Like Billups, Stuckey is more of a combo guard and Iverson is as well, so they don't have a true point on the roster anymore. But Billups had become a very good point guard over the last few years and Stuckey may take some time to get used to that roll.
