Professional Golfer Charged for Killing Migratory Bird with Golf Shot

From the wire services, PGA tour golfer John Henry (?Tripp?) Isenhour III was charged today in Orlando with killing a protected migratory hawk with a golf shot. It occurred in December 2007 when Isenhour was filming a video segment for the television show "Shoot Like A Pro." According to prosecutors, a red-shouldered hawk

was making noise, forcing the video crew to film another take. The hawk moved closer to where the filming was taking place and that is when Isenhour hit several balls at the hawk, eventually hitting it. A witness reported that the hawk fell to the ground, bleeding from both nostrils.

The 39-year-old Isenhour is charged with cruelty to animals and killing a migratory bird.
