: Sex CrimesSo Long to "The Wire"
By Corey Rayburnyung
ADVERTISEMENTS
I echo Rick Garnett's sentiments after seeing the series finale to "The Wire" last night on HBO. While it was about drug crimes and not sex crimes, I think anyone interested in criminal justice should watch the series. It was definitely my favorite show ever in the criminal law genre. Garnett's post includes a link to this Baltimore Sun article about the show that includes some criticism (although it should be noted that the Sun is not exactly a disinterested party in writing about the show). I'm much more forgiving of the show's last season given that they were forced to compress it to a mere ten episodes and last seasons are typically very hard to do well. Overall, I will probably miss "The Wire" more than any TV show I have seen in a long time.continue to full postFull post as published by Sex Crimes on March 10, 2008 (boomark / email).
