Texas Execution

Texas is scheduled to carry out its 10th execution of the year, tonight in Huntsville.  It would be the state's 457th execution since 1982.  Texas has far and away the most active death chamber in America, accounting for more than 37% of the nation's post-Furman executions.  To date, there have been 18 executions in the nation in 2010, and 1,206 executions since 1977.The Dallas Morning News reports, "Texas death row inmate loses at Supreme Court," in the case of Rogelio Cannady,  It's written by Michael Graczyk.Cannady was serving two life sentences at the McConnell Unit in South Texas for the 1990 slayings of two teenagers in the Rio Grande Valley.
