Texas Execution

Texas carried out its 11th execution of 2009 last night in Huntsville.  It was the state's 434th execution since 1982.  Texas has far and away the most active death chamber in American, accounting for more than 37% of the nation's executions.  The Fort Worth Star-Telegram has, "Fort Worth man put to death for killing two in late-night ambush," by Melody McDonald.  Georgia also carried out an execution last night, its first of the year.To date, there have been 19 executions in the nation this year; 1,155 since 1977.Another execution is scheduled in Texas tonight.  Houston's KPFT-FM will host Execution Watch on the web and it's HD radio broadcast signal beginning at 6:00 p.m. (CT), tonight...continue to full post
