: ACS BlogACS Promotes New Ideas, Policy Changes For Incoming Administration
The Legal Times takes note of some ACS leaders who are helping the new administration in its transition period. The article by Jeff Jeffrey notes that ACS Executive Director Lisa Brown is serving in the Obama transition team and ACS Board Member Ron Klain is Vice President-elect Joe Biden’s chief of staff and mentions some other board members who are on the short list for administration slots. ACS Deputy Director David Lyle says the organization will “continue to work as we have in the past, by promoting and facilitating discussion and debate of ideas that hopefully have an impact on policy.”
The article also cites the ACS package of ideas and proposals for reforming legal and justice policy in the new administration. The ACS package of ideas and recommendations, “A Fresh Start for a New Administration: Reforming Law and Justice Policies,” is available here.
