: ClassLawBlog.comCable Box Antitrust Investigation
By classlawblog
Finkelstein Thompson LLP is investigating allegations that cable television providers have been improperly bundling premium cable services with the rental of a cable box. If you have rented a cable box from a cable television provider, you may have been a victim of this practice.
According to complaints filed in various Federal District Courts, cable companies may have improperly forced consumers to rent cable boxes in order to access premium cable channels. In doing so, the cable companies may have stifled competition in the cable box industry and forced consumers to pay more in rental charges than what the box was actually worth.
If you feel that you may have been victimized by this practice and wish to discuss your rights and interests in this matter, please contact our Washington, D.C. office toll-free at (877) 337-1050 or by email at contact@finkelsteinthompson.com.
