The JD BLiss blog discussed the launch of a new website for the Bowditch Institute for Women’s Success, announced by Lauren Stiller Rickleen who, for those who don’t know, is the author of Ending the Gauntlet which identifies the numerous roadblocks confronting women in law firms. 
The problems women face is undoubtedly similar in different jurisdictions, the UK, US, Asia or Australasia, with perhaps some regional or ‘cultural’ differences between them.
The new website is worth visiting but not only for women wishing to increase their chances of success in the law - it is also a valuable resource for law firms seeking new, workable ways of retaining women attorneys.

This year's 50 Best Law Firms for Women survey is out (a good resource for students among other things). An accompanying article provides a timeline of "TV's Leading Women in Law." I'm not sure this subject has the appropriate gravitas for a real problem: the article and survey report that attrition rates for women at major law firms is about 76% by the fifth year and that 42% of women lawyers leave the profession at some point in their careers...
