: Arizona Bankruptcy Attorney BlogFamous Noname Arizona Bankruptcy Lawyers
By Joseph McDaniel, Esq.
He made some of the best darn cookies ever, and those cookies were called "Famous Amos" Cookies.
Then his business got hit from the blind side, and had the privilege of filing a bankruptcy to get rid of his debts.
Because the business name was a non-exempt asset, it was sold to raise money to pay creditors, and somebody else started making Famous Amos Cookies.
A lesser man might well have said, "They even took my name. I will now turn my face to the wall and wait for death to take me, because I cannot bear the shame."
But Amos was made of tougher stuff, and my admiration for him knows no bounds.
What Amos did was to take his disability (he couldn't sell cookies under his current name, you see), and turn it into a strength.
He didn't do the obvious thing, and simply invent a new name for himself and his cookies, like "Famous Ezekiel Cookies".
Instead, he clothed himself in the dignity that God gave him, and launched "Famous NoName Cookies" and also the Muffins With No Name (actually, Famous Noname Muffins).
And he went on to write books, including "The Cookie Never Crumbles".
Now, this discussion really isn't about cookies.
This is about bankruptcy lawyers in Arizona.
I can understand why a hero like Amos would sell cookies under no name, because he had to do that.
But why wouldn't a law firm use it's real name when it markets?
Makes you wonder.
