Putting the International in Financial Regulation

With co-blogger Eric, I'm at a Cardozo-sponsored conference on international financial regulation, bringing together academics from three continents, and making for a pretty full room.  It's cheering to see a developing scholarly community, and developing is the word - some of the participants have backgrounds in international finance, but others come from elsewhere.  Some in more straight up corporate law, some in banking, some in administrative law, and there's teachers of WTO law and public international law involved as well.  Now that the mass is critical, the next thing is to develop the paradigms for the field ... and then I will expect someone to play the role of Frank Easterbrook and tell us about the international finance and the law of the horse.
