Its about 11:10 pm EST, and CNN projects that Barack Obama wins the US presidency. The story is here. Just think about it. Obama will be inaugurated as the 44th President of the United States on January 20, 2009.
UPDATE: 11:28 pm EST — John McCain just finished his concession speech in Arizona. Word is that Obama may take the stage in the next few minutes. The crowds at the Biltmore hotel in Arizona (McCain) and in Grant Park in Chicago (Obama) are a true lesson in contrast. Emblematic of this transformative moment in American history.
