Armed Rooster Kills Man

By Jack Huber

ADVERTISEMENTS
In a striking testament to the existence of karma, a California man attending an illegal cockfight was cut and killed by one of the combatants. There is no evidence that the bird (whose name was not released by authorities) had a particular grudge against the man. Police report that their raid of the fights triggered the event, stating, ?One of the roosters jumped at the decedent, inflicting some type of injury and causing his death.? Cockfight organizers reportedly do not see this as the beginning of a Spartacus-style revolution by participants forced to fight to the death by their oppressors.
