Illinois Civil Unions: It's Official!

Two things about Illinois Civil Unions:

1. Yesterday Governor Quinn signed the bill creating civil unions -- here is the story from the Sun-Times. I had a ticket to attend the signing ceremony, but unfortunately couldn't break away from the office. Note that the law doesn't go into effect until June 1st.
