Pedestrian Injured In San Diego Car Accident

An unidentified pedestrian, believed to be in 40s, was struck by a wrong way motorist on November 20, 2010, in the Midway District of San Diego around 8:45 p.m. San Diego Police officers said that a male driver driving a Ford Ranger on Rosecrans made a prohibited U-turn to drive the wrong way on Kurtz Street and struck the pedestrian, seriously injuring him.

The injured pedestrian was transported to UCSD Hospital to receive treatment for a broken thighbone. The investigating officers need to locate the guilty motorist to bring him to justice. It is evident from the news that a right-of-way violation by the motorist caused this pedestrian accident. The careless car driver might be held liable to pay the injured pedestrian compensation for hospitalization, medical treatment costs, loss of wages and earning capacity, pain and suffering, and other accident related damages.
