I found this excellent article on how to market a Law Practice while surfing the ABA's web site. I think that this stuff is even important for those in law school. Let people know who you are outside of the school. You never know who you will meet.

While working as a Certified Nursing Assistant, I had a pre-scripted line about who I was and where I was going. People knew that I wanted to go to law school. I met family members and patients that were lawyers. These contacts could be a job someday and even if they don't become a job, I've started creating a network. People saw my character then, and can make a reasonable inference as to what my character will be in the future.

I do think the author missed one way to market a practice-BLAWGS! Check out the article below.
