: New York City Personal Injury LawyerGolf Cars Have Faulty Brakes
By Alan Ripka
On November 9, 2010, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Club Car voluntarily recalled approximately 5,000 golf cars and hospitality, utility, and transport vehicles due to faulty brake pedals that may result in loss of braking ability. Club Car received reports of brake pedals cracking and separating. These products pose a danger to those who drive them and could result in serious injury, says Alan Ripka, Esquire, and the manufacturer should be liable for any injuries incurred as a result of the faulty pedals.
Club Car, LLC of August, Georgia manufactures these vehicles. The cars affected include the DS Electric Golf Car, the DS Gas Golf Car, Café Express, Villager 4, Villager 6, Villager 6 Plus, Villager 8, Carryall 1, Carryall Turf 1, Carryall 2, Carryall 2 Plus, Carryall Turf 2, Carryall Turf 2 Plus, Carryall 6, Carryall Turf 6, Carryall 232, Carryall 252, Turf 252, TransPorter 4, TransPorter 6 and the XRT 800, 810, 850 and 900 models. The cars were sold at authorized club car dealers nationwide from April 2010 through July 2010.
