Withbroe, Alton (Al) — [Wisconsin Man Who Lived 15 Years With Mesothelioma]

Alton (Al) Withbroe, 83, De Pere resident, passed away peacefully Oct. 27, 2010, after living with mesothelioma for 15 years. The son of the late George and Carrie (Glassett) Withbroe was born on March 12, 1927, in Green Bay. He served his country in the U.S. Navy in the Phillipines during the Korean Conflict.

Al married Mary Jo Noack on June 25, 1949. Al worked for his dad’s company, Withbroe Sheet Metal, and later for Tweet-Garot Mechanical.
