UK woman fired for not wearing burqa wins case

Times of India: "The tribunal concluded: 'We find that the respondent treated the claimant less favourably by dismissing her and not his white women employees because she would not cover her hair.' Ghazala Khan, 30, was fired less than two weeks ago from her job at a company run by Muslim businessman Masood Ghafoor because she refused to wear a burqa. Khan was later awarded £13,566 for injury to feelings and loss of earnings."
