Friend, Story, and Evidence

Last Monday on Thanksgiving was the one year anniversary of when Clint was found. I initially didn?t even want to blog about that at all as I just wanted to keep to myself about it, but there is a nice story that did happen last Monday. One of Clint?s friends from New York called the reserve on that same day, asking for him. He only learned of the tragic news that we all knew for a year. One of my relatives got a hold of his number and passed it to me, and I ended up calling him in New York a few nights later, talking for almost an hour about our friend. It felt great speaking to someone who was with Clint for so long for the four years that he was in the services, as well as Afghanistan and Iraq. We said that we would keep in touch, and I may even visit New York sometime in the future, as I actually never met any of Clint?s friends for the four years that he was away from the reserve.

Not too long ago, I managed to finish a (very) rough draft of my zombie story (and I strongly emphasize the word rough). It is still not one hundred percent, as I got to re-write the first chapter (change of setting), two chapters of dialogue (character building), two chapters on other issues (mainly from my own undergrad experience), as well as polishing up the last chapter (which is at about twenty pages, the biggest in the book, and I will end up going into more detail than that). As well, I got to coordinate all the dates and fill in little details of things here and there. It is presently at about two hundred pages, but it will get bigger. For now though, I will be taking some time away from it to focus more on school (although I am not behind, I need to start making some CANS).

Speaking of which, time to read Evidence.
