Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program suspends family stream (see below email):

his email is to inform you that the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is temporarily suspending the Family Stream and the Strategic Recruitment Stream ? U.S. Visa Holder Category effective immediately, until further notice. We will continue to accept applications in this stream and category received on or before August 23, 2010.

The AINP continues to accept applications, at this time, in the following streams and categories:

Employer-Driven Stream
Skilled Workers, International Graduates, and Semi-Skilled Workers
Strategic Recruitment Stream
Compulsory Trades or Engineering Occupations
Self-Employed Farmer Stream

As an alternative to the AINP, Candidates may wish to explore applying for immigration directly through Citizenship and Immigration Canada. For more information, visit: www.cic.gc.ca .
