My Boss at BPLF: Hey Daisy, whatcha doing?

Daisy: Um. Finishing a complaint for you, another complaint for Mr. Very Important, another for Mr. Super Very Important that has a very firm statutory deadline of Friday, a trial brief for the Very Important Trial Team Who Has No Clerk This Week, trying to wrap my brain around some mediation memo's that I know you want to get off to the mediators, and then some stuff at some offices really far away that Very Important Team needs me to do. Because I'm the one of the few clerks in town this week. Because it is Spring Break. But I am here. Not on vacation. You? How was your weekend?

My Boss: Ahh. I won't bother you then.

* * *

A few minutes go by.

My Boss: So these arn't well, *important* per say...but I have two more complaints for you to write. You know. Soon.

I love getting into the office by 7 am. Makes me feel pro-duct-ive.

Thank God for petty cash for that early morning cab ride.
