Ashton Punks Anna Nicole?

This past Sunday, the E! Network aired the latest sliver of "reality" television from Punk?d producer and That 70?s Show television star, Ashton Kutcher. The name of the program is Pop Fiction and the basic premise is celebrities turning the tables on paparazzi, tabloids, and the mainstream media. The general conceit is brilliant. Pulling pranks on the media in this day and age of no fact-checkers, deadlines that were yesterday, and one outrageous headline or photo after the next, is ripe territory for exploitation. Shining the spotlight on mediocre to horrendous journalistic practices is always worthy of our time and energy. Ironically, however, it seems as though Kutcher and his team of merry pranksters may not have been the originators of this entertaining expose...continue to full post
