New Perkins Coie presence in San Diego

Perkins Coie has opened an office in San Diego with the addition of four intellectual property partners. All four were partners at the San Diego office of their former firms.

Thane Bauz joined from Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker. He has represented Intel Corp. and the intellectual property business group of The Boeing Co.

John Schnurer, Brian Wacter and Bing Ai joined from Fish & Richardson. Schnurer specializes in handling Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission. Wacter handles patent prosecution and was a communications officer for the U.S. Air Force for eight years. Ai specializes in patent prosecution and advises individuals, start-ups, universities and research institutes.
