The Weekend Twit ? April 23, 24

By Stan

ADVERTISEMENTS

A relatively uneventful weekend. Nothing in the way of amazing reading to recommend from the past two days, no exciting trips around Beijing.

I got nothing, except for this new dish I made for the first time this evening. Sauteed garlic and sausage, simmered with these big ass beans (have no idea what to call these things in either English or Chinese) in a black bean sauce. Extremely tasty stuff.

Without further delay, the relatively short list of @chinahearsay Tweets from this weekend, edited for literary excellence:

  1. Machine to blame for milk poisoning http://tinyurl.com/23xgkl2 – sure, blame the robot
  2. NPR: China Rising: China?s Influence in Africa http://tinyurl.com/2aptvfg

  3. China mayor told to resign after villagers kneel http://tinyurl.com/2452bog

  4. RT @cmphku: “CMP Readings”: China, Knock-off Superpower? Expo theme song and mascot found to be copies. http://cmp.hku.hk/readings/

  5. Chinese children favor foreign fairy tales http://tinyurl.com/2g4sydw – CN kids will soon be better read in West. classics than West. kids —————–
