Child In Critical Condition Following Crash

A car accident yesterday in Madison has left a 5-year-old girl in critical condition at Huntsville Hospital.

The child was a back seat, restrained passenger in a vehicle that collided with another car at the intersection of Triana and Gillespie, according to Don Webster, chief operating officer for HEMSI.

The driver of the other vehicle, 25, was also injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital.

Further details about the accident, including the cause were not available. Huntsville police are investigating.
