We Build Web Sites, Sometimes You Need a Good Helmet.

By peteboyd

ADVERTISEMENTS

We always use housing analogies when talking about web sites. It makes it easy to relate the information to clients.  Some examples include:

  1. Your site structure is like your room list and overall plan for the house (i.e. 4/3 with a porch).
  2. Your wire frame is your architectural plans. That way you know where everything is going.
  3. Your design is like a home model, although not in 3-D.  That way you can see what the site will look like before we build.
  4. You should use white space in your design, because you would not build your home to fill up the entire lot (or shouldn’t for all you McMansion people on zero lot homes).

Those are just some examples.  In honor of our analogies, we got constructions helmets today.  Snazzy.
