Papa Duke has a blog. It isn't so much a writing blog as it is a photo blog, on which he posts photos of the progress on the "Dream Home" he and Mama Duke are building. The writing is mostly in the captions, things like "Castle Turret Number 2 Completed". Oh...what? There is no castle turret? What? Where is my room then?? Hmm? Screwed again. Hmph. The captions are exciting business, noting that tile work has been completed, stone work is progressing along nicely, and the library shelves have been painted. And then repainted because according to my Mother they were not the right color for the feel and ambiance of the library. Mmhmm. I can't make too much fun of them though because they did put in a guest room with the idea that it is "mine" (as long as no guests of higher stature in the family & friend hierarchy are staying the same time as me) and they chose the tile in the bathroom with great deference to my likes and dislikes, which was pretty nice. Becuase when I build a house and they ask where their guest suite is I'm going to tell them across the street at the Mariott. I'm nice like that.

But anyway, Papa Duke has this blog and I feel the need to comment on it, things like "The fireplace does not seem big enough" when in fact Mama Duke selected it from the "hotel lobby and ski resort dining room" section of the fireplace store and you could probably roast an entire pig in it. I'm a good daughter like that.

But then Papa Duke called me last night to let me know that BISMOW and Eddie (of Eddie's Blog) had stopped by to leave a comment and I should check them out. And lets just say, they wern't really commenting on the house. They were instead making fun of...me. Poor little Daisy. They made fun of me on my Dad's blog. And to further the injustice? My Dad thought it was the most hilarious thing he'd ever read.

Hmph. See if I ever invite the two of them for a ski trip....because if I did I'm half convinced the Duke Parents would rank them above me on the family/friend hierarchy and give them my room. Sigh.
