Q & A

Today my boss gave a speech. It was an excellent speech. I say that becuase I wrote it....or at least wrote out all the bullet points for him to follow. I got to attend the speech becuase I was in charge of the Powerpoint presentation. Very high tech you know. I even managed to make the slide background mimic the colors of our office. (Yeah we have office colors. What of it?)

During the question & answer section after his talk someone asked why none of his caselaw was in our jurisdiction. In fact it was the equivalent of citing to case law in Nova Scotia, but hey, it was all I could find. So when asked why he had space-people case law, he informed the entire group that I did the research and why don't I answer that question...nothing like telling a ballroom full of people that there is, in fact, no case law on that point in our state. I'm not the Supreme Court though, so they can't complain to me. I don't write the opinions, I just report them. Or the lack of them.

After the speech my boss offered me a ride back to the office or to a bar.

Is is horrible that I chose the office?
