More than a dozen top Los Angeles lawyers could be called as witnesses in the wiretapping trial against celebrity sleuth Anthony
Pellicano, The National Law Journal reports.
Among them are:
- Greenberg Glusker (Los Angeles) - top rainmaker Bertram Fields, litigators Heidi Binford and Ricardo Cestero, and tax lawyer Jill Cossman.
- Bloom Hergott (Beverly Hills) - partner John LaViolette
- Wasser Cooperman (Los Angeles) - partner Dennis Wasser
- Sherman & Sherman (Santa Monica) - founding partner and criminal defense lawyer Victor Sherman
- Gaims Weil (Los Angeles) - partner Alan Weil
- Kolodny & Anteau (Beverly Hills)- partner Stephen Kolodny, who represented the ex-wife of billionaire Kirk Kerkorian in a paternity dispute in 2002.**
- Dovel & Luner (Santa Monica) - partner Gregory Dovel
Alec Gores, a divorce lawyer to
venture capitalist - Peter Knecht, a Los Angeles defense lawyer
**Kerkorian's lawyer in that case, Terry Christensen, is the only attorney indicted in the Pellicano case. He goes to trial separately in the coming months.
