Mr. Kattan will discuss the international legal framework that governs the conflict and contextualize it within the larger history. He will introduce his new book, From Coexistence to Conquest: International Law and the Origins of the Arab-Israeli Conflict 1891-1949, which was released in June 2009. Max Paul Friedman, Associate Professor of History at American University will moderate the discussion
