A man suffering from anosmia - loss of smell - has filed a lawsuit against the makers of Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Spray, claiming that medicine he used from 2006-2009 is responsible the condition. According to the lawsuit, Paul Buck Jr. says that studies show that using topical applications containing zinc ions “can produce permanent anosmia,” and that the drug maker should have been aware of that fact before marketing their product as “safe.” The lawsuit seeks $75 million in damages.
