The chicken made him do it or he's just chickensick

ADVERTISEMENTS

Classes are back in session at K-State today and the 'undercooked chicken made me miss class' excuse has already popped up. A student who apparently ate undercooked chicken (how does he know it was undercooked?) on Wednesday was too sick to come to class today, but his doctor says he will be well enough on Tuesday. I love that this corresponds to a long weekend and buys the student an extra five days before starting classes.

This absence is not excused. Use a digital meat thermometer and stick it in. Chicken should be cooked until it's piping hot. Oops. That was a flashback to our UK travels. Cook chicken to 165 (F) to stay alive.
