Während das vieldiskutierte Google Health Projekt bis auf einige Screenshots bisher Vaporware geblieben ist, macht Google an der Gentechnik-Front Druck: Der Informationsgigant beteiligt sich an der Finanzierung eines Harvard Projektes, bei dem die DNA von 100.000 Versuchspersonen entschlüsselt und mit deren Gesundheitsgeschichte verknüpft werden soll.
Für das Projekt soll eine Milliarde Dollar veranschlagt werden, es würde sich dabei um die bisher umfangreichste Genomanalyse handeln. (…)
