Dreier Stein adds John Babala as partner in Santa Monica

John_babala John Babala joined Dreier Stein's Santa Monica office as a partner in their transactional department.

Babala has experience as inside and outside corporate counsel, with a particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate governance, securities and private equity.

Babala was previously a shareholder at Long Beach's Keesal Young. Before that he was deputy general counsel at DaVita, the SoCal-based company that operates the second largest chain of kidney dialysis centers in the U.S.

He also a member of the state bar's business law and cyberspace law groups.
