A Good Base for Health Information

I've been checking out HealthBase, a new search tool powered by NetBase, a company that's doing some interesting things with search technology. HealthBase aims to provide answers, not just search results, and it does a pretty good job at that. The search box has four tabs, allowing you to search for different information on medical conditions - Treatments, Causes, Complications, and Pros & Cons of treatment. Just plug in a condition - I tried "Cushing's" - and under Treatments, I found some very concise descriptions of drug and other types of treatments for the condition. By just clicking on the + sign next to the treatment, the answers are provided in a small box, with a link to the original source if you want to get more information. HealthBase also provides a couple of related searches for your query. It's pulling data from the major health sites - PubMed, Medline Plus, Mayo Clinic, WebMD, and a ton more - so you're likely to get results from reliable sources. I really like the clean, straightforward way the results are displayed. What would make this search engine even more valuable would be a way to save results, or share them with others. In all though, this may be one of my favorite medical search engines I've seen to date.
