: TJ's Double PlayObama wins by default
Dick Marple, some dude from Hookset, NH, asks an interesting legal question. Did the 19th Amendment alter Article II Section 1 of the Constitution, which plainly states, "The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years . . ."? (emphasis added). Dick points out that the 19th Amendment only gave women the right to vote, not to hold the highest office in the land. In fact, he argues, the ratifiers explicitly never intended to allow a woman to actually be president. He's ready to bring a lawsuit if Hillary wins to settle this question.
What are the odds the guy making this argument would be named Richard? 1 in 3?
Legally, a woman can't be elected president (Concord Monitor) Hat tip, Wonkette.
