: Impartial IncBruce Fromong memorabilia dealer testifies at OJ Preliminary Hearing!
By RJ
Today, OJ Simpson appears in court for his Preliminary Trial. Unless, you live under a rock, you know OJ Simpson allegedly held up two individuals in a Las Vegas Hotel room. OJ and "friends" were there "in an undercover sting." But more realistically, OJ and "friends" conducted an armed robbery stealing memorabilia and now faces 12 criminal charges. Those charges include: kidnapping, armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy and coercion - and one gross misdemeanor, conspiracy to commit a crime. If you don't know a kidnapping conviction alone could result in a life sentence.
Here I am sitting in Las Vegas, NV watching the trial live on local television. Watching from a local channel trumps Court TV, no interruptions by Court TV Reporters, or commercials.
This preliminary hearing commenced at 8:30 AM or thereabouts. However, I didn't tune in until 10:00AM. Here it is now as I write 12:18PM and they are cross examining Bruce Fromong. Let's talk about Bruce Fromong for a minute. Court TV reported that both Fromong and the other prosecution witness are less than desirable witnesses. As a litigation paralegal I know court room etiquette and witness etiquette. Watching this man testify first hand, I find myself screaming, "ASKED AND ANSWERED," or "SHUT UP ALREADY," or "HEY STOP TALKING." You can guess that I'm objecting asked and answered needed to be stated by the prosecution. I think he did once or twice at this point. My other screams were based on this witness?s inability to keep his mouth shut, to only answer what was asked, and stop adding additional non important information. The prosecutor did not object to the witness rambling. However, earlier on during direct examination the defense counsel did continually object to the witness story telling and failure to answer only the question asked. HOW FRUSTRATING.
If you are not well versed in witness etiquette, and watched the OJ preliminary hearing or saw clips from it, you probably were quite amused with Mr. Fromong's testimony. He was funny. I learned all about his disability, medication, his military training, his inability to tell one black man from another, his business on eBay, and his incredible thirst for the water in front of him.
I sure hope that when this makes it to Trial, the jury can see the evidence through the crazy witnesses and situations surrounding all of these clowns. Yes, I'm calling the defendants and the witnesses all clowns. I hope the jury can see the facts and make a solid verdict based solely on the evidence, while they wade their way through the testimony.
GOD HELP US ALL!!!
