Scraper Site Structset.Netii.net Tossed by Web Host Thanks to Settlement Industry Bloggers

By John Darer

ADVERTISEMENTS

Another made for Google Adsense website was essentially scraping the headlines of posts from Structured Settlements 4Real and Settlement Channel to pull in visitors who would be theoretically stunned by the lack of content click on the Google ads in their stupor. Only the eagle eyed would get through the maze of ads and click on the link back to the relevant website. Alertly Mark Wahlstrom and I tag teamed the "leech" and all that shows now is an ad for the hosting company.

The fight against search engine hogging misinformation and spam that swirls around high click value key words like "structured settlements" requires a continued commitment. Industry members should have a clear, accurate and consistent message themselves and be vigilant to misinformation where it exists.

You can write something yourself or email Mark or I and chances are good one or both of us will post something about it on our blogs.
