: Law Blog - WSJ.comBreaking: Senate Judiciary Committee Votes Yay on Sotomayor
By Ashby Jones
This just in: the Senate Judiciary Committee voted this morning 13-6 to approve the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court. All 12 Democrats voted to approve her; all but one Republican — Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) — voted no. Click here for the AP story.
The nomination now heads to the full Senate, where a vote is expected to take place next week. Sotomayor is widely expected to be confirmed. Click here for the rest of the Law Blog’s coverage of Sotomayor; here to watch it the vote on C-Span, via YouTube.
