: New York Supreme Court Criminal Term LibraryPostings of Interest on the Criminal Law Library Blog
By David Badertscher, PLL
When items posted on the other blog I manage, Criminal Law Library Blog, generate considerable interest, ie. 200 or more visits in a 24 hour period and are within the topic range of this blog, I sometimes post a link to them on this blog as well. Here are links to two postings which certainly seem to meet and possibly go beyond that criteria.
The first posting relates to the ongoing two track federal investigation of political corruption and international money laundering in New Jersey and to a possibly lesser extent New York. I have posted a link to some documents related to this investigation at:

Everyone who needs to utilize knowledge based information associated with libraries, whether that information is actually in the library or is availabe enywhere somone has a digital or related divice capable of receiving that information on-line, really needs to appreciate library catalogers and catalog standards, because without their efforts we would be faced with "information chaos:" as far as accessibility is concerned. That does not mean necessarily that we need to understand the intricacies of cataloging and applying cataloging standards; it means that we need to really appreciate the imporrtance of what catalogers do for us. To help somewhat in that regard by sharing my own appreciation, I have posted an item on the criminal Law Library blog which is a very general, basic statement about cataloging and cataloging standards. I invite you to read. it The posting also includes references to materials I consulted in preparation, but you only need to consult these if you want to pursue this subject further.
