So, can anyone tell me why we have to have one president and one vice president? Can’t we divvy up the duties associated with the presidency between two people? I mean, I know that the idea is to have one person as the figurehead leader, and as the actual executive of the nation, but why?

Couldn’t we put Obama in charge of all domestic issues, and Clinton in charge of foreign policy, each with veto and signing power over legislation in their respective areas? That would seem to cater to their respective strengths, and not put us in a situation where we have a leader in charge of everything, and then some other person who could be a great leader in their own right putting around in the No. 2 spot.
